CHATIME VS TEALIVE

CHATIME VS TEALIVE

BACKGROUND OF CHATIME

As the birthplace of pearl milk tea beverages, Taiwan is set to revolutionize the tea brewing industry by capturing the attention of fashionable tea lovers in a stylish and modern way.
With Chatime’s initiative in combining over 30 years’ worth of tea manufacturing experience and expertise from a team of professional researchers, the tea drinking culture is now experiencing an exciting shift - consumers are no longer content with consuming teas laden with artificial ingredients and flavours - they want something real and flavourful!
In order to revolutionize the tea-drinking scene, Chatime Malaysia uses only the best imported tea leaves and quality ingredients, minus additives and preservatives. To keep customers coming back, Chatime gathers ideas from top Japanese tea producers and takes cue from their quality control and design concepts. Now, every cup of tea is freshly brewed upon order!

BACKGROUND OF TEALIVE

On February 17, 2017, Bryan Loo and his company unveiled Tealive as its brand to take tea-brewing to greater heights. CEO Bryan Loo unveiled the brand at its Pavilion KL outlet near the exact spot where he first introduced brewed tea six years ago before going on to open 165 outlets by the end of 2016. “We are proud to launch Tealive, a brand that will make tea great again. It was six years ago that I operated the first kiosk to brew tea for Malaysians and now we will introduce a new tea culture to Malaysians,” he said.
While he has a cool image and sociable demeanour, do not underestimate the drive of the founder of Loob Holding Sdn Bhd. With a passion for mentoring upcoming business talents, he has expanded his F&B Empire from a start-up into a full-blown enterprise, spanning franchise outlets and dining establishments. He is also a notable influencer on social media.

1.TASTE

CHATIME
                                                    STANDING THE TEST OF CHATIME

In order to serve a beverage liked by all, Chatime uses sophisticated tea and coffee machines to produce only the highest quality drinks. Each drink is individually prepared by over 700 trained tearistas across 90 outlets nationwide.Ok so it’s taken me longer to write this review than I should’ve…because I didn’t want to go to Chatime but for the sake of you guys I guess it’s about (Cha)time that I sucked it up and review the most popular chain in this hemisphere (the western one). You might have guessed it by now I’m actually not the biggest fan of Chatime. I don’t think I outright hate it but I just see no reason for their popularity in the current bubbletea landscape. We have much better options in Malaysia now (I reviewed two of them already)! Yet it is still the most popular chain it seems, there’s always a lot of people in their stores and there are so many of them! I live in a very Asian part of the city and there’s literally more Chatimes !!

There was a remarkable difference between Chatime and whatever we were having
before. Their tea tasted better, their tapioca (plus they have a ton of other toppings!) were better, and there were so. much. options! Of course they were really successful and had a bunch of stores which led the other chains come and set up shop in Toronto. Once those other ones came I pretty much realized the depth of the bubble tea rabbit hole, there were so much more to bubble tea than I could ever know! To put it less dramatically, I pretty much like all the chains that came after Chatime better. However whenever someone suggests bubble tea it’s always Chatime this and Chatime that. My bubble tea addiction costs money and I want it to be spent at least somewhat wisely. Now I’m reviewing bubble teas and I definitely would be getting questions about Chatime so it’s not like I’m trying to bother with Chatime, Chatime just won’t stop bothering me.

TEALIVE

HOLDING ON AND IT TASTY!!

This place took over chatime which both of these cafes are basically the same. In fact chatime was much better. Firstly the portion size is terrible. All portions are half the size of chatime's drinks. The taste of the drinks seems very diluted and not just that. When I saw them making it, they put sooooo little ingredients! The background are wonderful and could improve the bathroom hygene. The english of the title is terrible. It should be tealife instead of tealive! There is a dizzying number of options of drinks available and I definitely have not tried even 1/5th of the choices, but usually I go back to their signature tea which I think tastes the best of the lot. Possibly the Earl Grey flavoured tea is second on the list if you like Earl Grey. And always have the black pearls! You can ask for less sugar so that it is not so sickly sweet and more refreshing.Normally we love going to TeaLive for our daily fix of the Signature Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea, as us very much like this one. However, we thought we would spicy things up a littlebit yesterday, and try something different. We have been talking about for a while to try the smoothiesTeaLive do, and we should just have stuck to the Signature Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea, as the so called"Smoothie" was just not good at all. How can you call something a smoothie, when it is not even madewith REAL fruit. We were both very disappointed to have paid RM 8,5 for some ice and syrups. It is verybad advertisement, especially when you show pictures of real fruits and then the drink is just made fromsyrups. Very very disappointed in this so called "Smoothie", and from now on we will probably not be so adventurous, and we will probably just stick to the Signature tea.We tried milk tea bubble with brown sugar and it tasted really great! The bubble was so soft, juicy and really tasty too, and the milk tea was so refreshing. One of the best bubble tea in the world.

2.QUALITY

CHATIME

At Chatime we are committed to the highest standard of quality in every element of our business. We’re committed to ensuring the freshness and flavour of every drink we make, and pair this with a commitment to operational standards that are unmatched in our industry.
Our promise of quality means that we’re serving our customers the best tea based drinks in the world.

 TEALIVE

With more than 160 outlets throughout Malaysia, Tealive’s brand recognition is expected to grow rapidly. With brand recognition on the rise, Tealive can expect to increase its current revenue and even add to it by opening more outlets. In a recent interview, Bryan mentioned that he intends to raise the number of outlets from 160 to 250 by the end of October. An ambitious goal that, if achieved, might establish Tealive as the number one bubble tea brand in Malaysia.
Next to a sizeable distribution network, Tealive also enjoys freedom to innovate on its products. Highlighted by Bryan Loo as one of the prime reasons of the disagreement, the freedom to innovate could allow Tealive to offer products that are more adjusted to the wants and needs of the Malaysian customers. With years of experience in the Malaysian market, Loob Holding can adjust quickly to changing consumer demands and remain relevant as a trending tea brand. Because Loob Holding was solely responsible for the growth of Chatime in Malaysia, La Kaffa will now have a knowledge disadvantage when it comes to adapting its products to the Malaysian market.
3.PRICE
CHATIME
This shown some of the price in chatime. The price of chatime is reasonable and affordable to buy it.The prices is not  RM25 and above. It is not to high as same price likes starbucks and other well known drink brands. For other people think that chatime is quit delicious for them.Different people have thier own special equitity.Let take an example of drink chatime.

A battle in fruit tea drinks is on as well.
One top favorite off Chatime’s menu of drinks is its Passionfruit QQ. Tealive menu offers an altered version with Jasmine Green Tea in its Signature Passionfruit Green Tea. But, which one would you rather drink?

Strawberry Pudding Smoothie

Both Chatime’s and Tealive’s smoothie offerings are ready to take on the battle, too, anytime.
Among Chatime’s most favorite smoothies is the Strawberry Pudding Au Lait. Tealive has the Strawberry Pudding Smoothie. In half a shake, which one would you rather drink?

Chocolate Drinks

Chocolatey drinks can also steal the scene. The tea and chocolate blends supplemented with other tastes from both Tealive and Chatime vary in approach to the palette.  But then again, which chocolate tea series wins?
Chatime has the Cocoa Latte, Strawberry Chocolate, and Superior Pure Cocoa as its best offerings off its Chocolatea Series. While Tealive has a wider range in its Coco Drinks – Superior Coco, Hazelnut Coco, Vanilla Coco Latte, Coco Banana Latte, Mixed Berries Coco, Horlicks Malty Coco, and Coco Smoothie with Oreo Cookie Pieces. Again I ask, which one would you rather drink?
